Firstly we met at the hotel with Alexander - President of the Ural IT Cluster and a very well known IT entrepreneur in Ekaterinburg - Chairman of Naumen and co-founder of SKB Kontur, Michrotest and Naumen.
Alexander drove us to the office of Jet Style, a company which does user experience design, where we met the CEO, Alexey.
Our next meeting was with Alexey who is the CEO of a company called Giftoman which has just introduced a new mass customer loyalty program to the Ekaterinburg market and is planning to take this to the whole of Russia.
Our next meeting was with Dimitry an IT Professor at the Ural State Economics University. We walked to that meet through a really nice park ... but it was so hot - by the time I got to the meeting I was melting. We had lunch with Dimitry in the faculty cafeteria and he showed us around the university.
Our last meeting with with the Konstantin, CEO and Denis, Technical Director of Host who are an IBM Business Partner and also founding members of the Ural IT Cluster.
From there we walked back to the hotel and it looked like it was snowing - even thought it was around 34 degrees!!!
These are actually seeds from a tree and apparently this is just the start of the season and it gets a lot worse. They are like fluff. Luckily these seeds don't see to have the same negative impact on me that some grass/seeds do ... or at least not yet!!
Everyone was so tired when they got back to the hotel that we had dinner in the cafe attached to the hotel. Once again the food was very nice.
We then divided out the IBM logo giveaways that we had been given so we could share these with our clients.
